1️⃣ Yogasana Sports Rules & Scoring (Theory)

  • Competition rules

  • Judging criteria

  • Scoring methods (posture, stability, difficulty, expression)

2️⃣ Anatomy & Physiology for Coaches (Theory)

  • Musculoskeletal system

  • Postural analysis

  • Injury prevention

3️⃣ Progressive Asana Training (Practical)

  • 40–50 asanas (basic → advanced)

  • Alignment corrections

  • Safe progression

4️⃣ Flexibility & Strength Conditioning (Practical)

  • Periodised training plans

  • Strength, mobility & flexibility drills

5️⃣ Coaching Methodology (Theory + Practical)

  • Communication techniques

  • Corrections & spotting

  • Class management

  • Motivational skills

6️⃣ Routine Design & Competition Preparation (Practical)

  • 1–3 minute competition routines

  • Age-group-based routine sequencing

  • Performance, presence & expression

Assessment Structure

• Written examination• Live coaching demonstration• Submission of a full training plan (for one athlete)

  • Basic breathing awareness

  • Introduction to discipline & body alignment

  • Practical

  • Basic warm-up

  • Surya Namaskar (4 counts – beginner)

  • 6–10 simple asanas:
    Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Vajrasana, Bhujangasana, Shashankasana, Butterfly etc.

  • Basic balancing drills

  • Fun flexibility exercises
